At the Museum of Comic & Cartoon Art - MoCCA, we support comic art in all its countless forms. We cannot do it without the help of members and friends like you. From our noteworthy past exhibitions (“Will Eisner’s New York: From The Spirit to Modern Graphic Novel” and “Is This The Al Jaffee Art Exhibit?”) to our current showings, including "Michael Uslan: The Boy Who Loved Batman”, “Bat-Manga: The Secret History of Batman in Japan”, “Artists of Batman” and “The Art of Howl”, these celebrations only come to life because of you.

Our “MoCCA Thursdays” events this year hosted luminaries such as Jules Feiffer, GB Tran, Minck Oosterver, Trina Robbins, Marek Bennett, Peter Kuper, Liza Donnelly and Bob Mankoff. We continue to embrace all forms of comic and cartoon art. In the past year, we had many successes and are proud of MoCCAʼs Educational Programming. Our courses included “Principles of Storytelling for Comics” with Larry Hama, "Animation Writing: How to Write Scripts That Will Make You a Key Member of the Creative Team" with David Steven Cohen, “How to Write Comics & Graphic Novels” with Danny Fingeroth and “Design in the Service of Narrative for Comic Books” with Howard Chaykin.

As we grow, we have greater expenses to meet. These expenses include putting on all of the fantastic exhibitions and events; as well as our flourishing youth programs. We have taken great steps in this past year. We will take even greater strides in 2012. I sincerely ask you for your continued support of MoCCA by giving to our End of Year Appeal. This will help us guarantee our financial well being as we move forward to the new year.

Thank you for your support to the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art - MoCCA.

Sincerely,

Ellen S. Abramowitz
